Sylvester Stallone on Sage's Death: 'There Is No Greater Pain'

BY TIM NUDD
Sylvester Stallone is mourning the "agonizing loss" of his son Sage Moonblood Stallone, who was found dead last Friday in his Hollywood home at age 36.

"When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain," the actor, 66, says in a statement released to TMZ.com. "Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha."

Stallone adds that his and his first wife's grief is all-encompassing.

"This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives," he says. "Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace."

Stallone also asked the media to stop speculating on the cause and other details of Sage's death.

An autopsy was performed Sunday on Sage. Full results from the autopsy will not be know for several weeks, the coroner said.
